Swoon-worthy Boys: Part 2

6. Edward Cullen: I know that a lot of people criticize Meyer's sparkly vampires, but I will always love my first vampire crush, Edward Cullen.

7. Jared Howe: I just love him so very much. Jared is another one of those brooding, self-loathing characters whose bad boy attitude just make you want to swoon. He is one of two incredible boys from Stephenie Meyer's The Host, and I love them both.

8. Ian O'Shea: Ian is the other boy I love from The Host, and he reminds me more of Peeta Mellark than Jace Wayland. He is sweet, emotional, and the exact opposite of Jared Howe.

9. Haden Black: Gwen Hayes is apparently a genius, because her first novel included an amazing character I would happily marry. His darkness makes him seem frightening at first, but as the book goes on, you can't help but swoon every time he..breathes, pretty much.

10: Gideon Winston: He is one of my new found loves. From Gwen Hayes' eNovella, Ours Is Just a Little Sorrow, Gideon is YET ANOTHER brooding boy, with an undercurrent of emotions that are torn from him throughout the book, until he is stripped down to a sweet boy.

Note: I'm aware I have a problem with brooding, sexy boys. I can't help it!

Review: Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

Juliette hasn't touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

TV Shows I Wish Were Books: Part 2

GREY'S ANATOMY.

When I think of tv shows that make me cry/make me feel the emotions of the characters, Grey's is my number one choice.

I think that if an author created such a wonderful novel, using the same characteristics of the character to reader relationship, it would be incredible. I have not come across many books that I have read where become so involved in the characters life that I feel like I am one of them.

Plus, I love how dramatic Grey's is, and it would be interesting to see if the drama and relationships would remain the same without the great soundtrack and visuals.

TV Shows I Wish Were Books: Part 1

THE MENTALIST. 

This is my random thought for the day..If I could make any tv series into a show, which ones would I pick?

The Mentalist is my fairly new obsession. I've been watching it since the summer, and absolutely fell in love. If I could choose any tv show to be a novel, it would definitely be at the top of my list. I could fangirl over Patrick Jane allll day long.


If it could be a Sherlock Holmes-esque series, with three or four six hundred page books, I would be so pleased.


My affiliate, Amber Skye is probably scoffing at this right now...she thinks I'm crazy for loving the show so much.

Blog Update

Some of you may have visited my blog in the last week or so, and seen the "Something isn't right here!" Malware alert. Sorry about that! Please know that the issue has been solved, and no damage will be done to your computer if you visit my website.

After many annoying hours researching the issue, my affiliate, Amber Skye, mentioned that it could be the comments. So, I changed my comment setting to moderator protected, deleted any outlying spam messages... And HUZZAHH, my problem is solved!! Yay for the tech genius that is Amber Skye.

Pondering Author Playlists

After reading a book I love, I usually research it more. This can lead to the author's playlist- a playlist of songs that they listened to while writing their books. They don't match up to what I would think the book's scenes should sound like, at all.

Obviously the author and I don't see the book in the same way, we get different things out of it. However, I find it extremely curious that they are usually SO different from my personal view.

The two authors that I have noticed it most with are Cassandra Clare's City of Bones and City of Ashes playlists, and Gwen Hayes' Ours Is Just a Little Sorrow playlist.

Do you think they match up to your perspective of the novels?

I'm a little bit mind-blown, honestly, to think that an author can write a story that can be perceived so differently by the reader. That is also what I love about fiction, though. The works of fiction, works of art, can weave such a story in your head, yet the two stories could be seen two different ways in two people's mind's.

Swoon-worthy Boys: Part 1

1. Jace Wayland: Jace Wayland, the brooding angel from Cassandra Clare's amazing Mortal Instruments series will forever hold prime real estate in my heart. He is completely amazing. He is supposed to be the most beautiful person alive...enough said.

2. Peeta Mellark: OH MY GOSH PEETA. Any time I read anything related to Peeta, I shrivel up and giggle. He is the sweetest boy character, probably from any book I have ever read. I would read The Hunger Games just for him.

3. Will Herondale: As an ancestor of Jace Wayland's obviously he has the X factor. He is so great...I can't stand having to choose between him and the equally appealing Jem Carstairs.

4. Jem Carstairs: Jem is the sweet, kind, and quiet counterpart to Will's dark side. Together, they made the Infernal Devices an emotional trainwreck that leaves my heart all mushed up. In a pile. On the ground. I don't have a picture of Jem, because I'm still working on forming my image of him.

5. Chase Jennings: I was told I would love him at the start of Article 5...and I hated him. Until about halfway through, until I completely fell under his spell.

Update: Film Friday: Alex Pettyfer

I personally have not, and have no intention of reading Fifty Shades of Grey. However, I have heard a lot about it, and I became curious as to who will be cast in the movie adaptation.


One rumor that struck me was ALEX PETTYFER. As you should know by now, I have a burning love for Alex Pettyfer, which will probably never fade completely. The embers of my love lie in wait until I see a movie or magnificent photo-shoot, and the embers burst back into flame. It's a vicious cycle, I know, he's so hard to look at.

Anyway. He is one of the rumored possibilities for the infamous Christian Grey, including other hotties like Chris Hemsworth from Thor, and Jensen Ackles for Supernatural. I guess we will just have to wait for the ultimate hottie to be chosen.

Yes, I know it is not at all a fact-based website, but after some more digging around the internet, I found Alex Pettyfer was on most lists, along with Chris Hemsworth, and Ian Somerhalder.

Update: My Imaginary Infernal Devices Cast

I originally chose Alex Pettyfer for Will Herondale. However, I was talking to my friend, and fellow book blogger, Amber Skye, and she suggested someone else... After who knows how long squealing over adorable YouTube videos of this boy, we came to the same conclusion.

Douglas Booth is our choice for Will.

It was kind of strange for me at first, because he was our original choice for Alec Lightwood. There is one picture where we think he looks like Alec, and one where he looks almost perfect for my brooding love, Will Herondale. These are the two pictures compared:

Does he not look like he's just stepped out of the cover of Clockwork Angel in the Will picture? It is from Great Expectations. A fan put together a trailer for Clockwork Prince using scenes from that movie, as it is set in the right time period, it's so good!
